This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
You are using WordPress with ACF and WPML for translating your homepage. You've noticed that not all media files are being copied to the translation, particularly those in repeater fields. Some media files do not appear in the translated language Media library, and some lack editing form fields like the ALT attribute.
Solution:
We recommend the following steps:
1. Navigate to WPML > Settings > Media Translation section.
2. Enable the following options:
- Translate existing media in all languages
- Duplicate existing media for translated content
- Duplicate the featured images for translated content
- When uploading media to the Media library, make it available in all languages
- Duplicate media attachments for translations
- Duplicate featured images for translations
3. Click on 'Start' to duplicate images into second languages and 'Apply' for the other settings.
4. Update the ACF Multilingual plugin to the new version 2.1.3 and check if the issue persists.
5. If specific media differentiation per language is needed, consider using the WPML Media Translation plugin.
6. To translate image info (title, description, etc.) along with the post, enable the option 'Translate media library texts with posts' on the page WPML > Settings.
If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, please check related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verify the version of the permanent fix, and confirm that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. We highly recommend opening a new support ticket if the problem persists. You can do so at WPML support forum.
