This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client reported that after manually translating the 'About Us' page to Spanish, the content reverted to English within a few hours. Additionally, a critical error occurred preventing the page from loading. Solution: We first suggested ensuring that manual translations are edited manually. Upon further investigation, we discovered a critical error unrelated to WPML, indicated by a fatal error due to memory exhaustion. We recommended: 1. Checking the server error logs, which can be done by following the debugging guide at https://wpml.org/documentation/support/debugging-wpml/ 2. Consulting with the hosting provider to address the memory limit issue.
If this solution does not resolve your issue, or if it seems outdated or irrelevant to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If problems persist, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

Thanks for your reply. I've checked your Website and I noticed that your homepage is using the manual translation. If it's translated manually, you need to edit the translated contents manually.
I thought this issue was resolved, but when I translate the page manually and save it, a few hours later, I find that all of my translation gets erased and reverts back to the english only. This has happened twice now.
I had translated the About Us page to Spanish entirely and when I logged in 2 days later, it was all in English again.
Then I partially translated it and saved my work and created a backup. I did this today in the morning, and now that it's evening I checked again and all my work was lost. Also, the About Us page says there's a critical error and it cannot load. The back up that I created after doing the partial translation is in Updraft for April 7 at 7:28am.
Please send me a private message so I can send you my new login details, since I changed my password. Thanks.
Thanks for your reply. Strange that I can't even edit the About Us page in English and I'm getting a critical error. Could you please share FTP access here so that I can check the server error logs? Or maybe you can do this yourself https://wpml.org/documentation/support/debugging-wpml/ and share the debug log contents here.
Thanks for your reply. I've enabled debugging mode, and now it crashes the file manager too. Could you please grant me FTP access so that I can troubleshoot this further?
Thanks for your reply. It looks like the issue is not related to WPML. I've deactivated the WPML plugin and I still cannot edit the "about us" page hidden link . Could you check with your hosting provider? I'm getting "Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1249280 bytes) in /home/customer/www/staging2.piedrecita.com/public_html/wp-includes/class-wpdb.php on line 2316"
Thank you, memory was increased and solved the issue.
