After using Polylang for a while we are now trying WPML.
We have set up a test site and activated the WPML plug-in but after migrating we have issues with the English homepage (Dutch is our standard language).

Using the language switcher on the Dutch homepage, the English homepage won't show.

I found out i can only open the English homepage in Elementor using safe mode and if i open it, i only see dutch texts.

We already tried deactivating all plugins to check if theres any other plugin causing it but only Elementor, Elementor Pro and the WPML plugins are active now.

Hello There,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support. I will try my best to assist you in this matter.

I understood the issue you're having. Kindly note that the translation won't be displayed until the page translation is entirely completed. Would you kindly confirm that? Please follow the steps mentioned below.

- Open the Dutch page in WordPress Editor.
- Make a small adjustment(add a character or anything) in the Title and save the changes.
- Once you save the changes, you will notice a translation update beside the English language.
- Click on the Update icon and make sure to fully complete the English translation.

I hope it will help.

I also noticed that the memory limit allocated for your site is below the recommended. Could you please try increasing the WP Memory limit? It might solve the Safe mode issue of Elementor as well.

Add this code to your wp-config.php to increase WP memory:

/ Memory Limit /
define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');

Paste it just before:

/ That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. /

See here for more information https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/

Note: WPML needs a minimum WP Memory limit of 128M to work only under a minimal environment, which means, with a default theme and no other plugins installed.

Let me know if that helps or if you need further assistance. I will be happy to help.

Best Regards,
Prosenjit
