This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is using WPML's automatic translation feature and is encountering an issue where the slugs of the translated pages are also being translated. The client wants to translate everything except the URLs and has tried a solution from a related ticket without success.
Solution:
If you're experiencing issues with slugs being translated when using WPML's automatic translation, we recommend you try the following steps:
1. Navigate to WPML > Settings > Translated documents options and select the option "Page URL: Copy from original language if translation language uses encoded URLs" and then save your changes.
2. Go to WPML > Languages > Site languages > Edit languages and set the option "Encode URLs" to Yes for all secondary languages.
3. Edit a page in the original language, make a small change to the page content, save it, and then update the translation.

Please note that this solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. If after trying these steps you still encounter issues, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket at our support forum.

Hello,
I curretly use the automatic translation of wpml.
Thought, the slug of the translated pages, get translated as well..
This is something that I dont want, as after I need to go inside to every translated page and change manually the links in the button etc.

I followed the following step ( https://wpml.org/forums/topic/keep-slugs-in-english/#post-13467395 ) from a relevant ticket, but it dosnt work. Is there something more that I can do?

How can I change this?
How can I translate everything except the urls?

Thank you

Hi Jessie,

Thank you for contacting WPML support, I’m happy to help you with this issue.

Please follow steps below to keep the same page slug across languages and let me know how it goes:

1. Go to WPML > Settings > Translated documents options > Page URL: Copy from original language if translation language uses encoded URLs > Save.

2. Go to WPML > Languages > Site languages > Edit languages > Set the option "Encode URLs" to Yes for all second languages.

3. Edit a page in the original language > Make a small change to the page content > Save > Update the translation.

Looking forward to your reply.
Thanks
