Tell us what you are trying to do.

The live website URL is hidden link and currently, we are using the "Pay as you go" option. Currently, we cloned the live website to the Development environment for development activities. Development Site URL is ****
In the WordPress backend of the Development site, it shows some alerts like "This site has moved to a new location" and it says "You cannot edit translations on this site.".

Translation Management in the Dev website is not visible. Our plan is to do the development activities and add new languages to the Dev website and then test it and then move it to the live website. Meanwhile, we will also be translating content on the live website.

Also in WPML My Account, the Live website is showing as "Pay as you Go" correctly but the Dev website is showing under "Prepaid Credits". We want both Live and Dev websites to have a "Pay as you Go" option.

What is the link to your site?

Live website: hidden link
Dev website: ****

NOTE: PLEASE ADD "rajeev@colorwhistle.com" EMAIL ADDRESS IN CC WHILE RESPONDING TO THIS TICKET.

Hello,

Please review the following documentation:
https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-subscription-for-multiple-sites/

Try the steps from the documentation and let me know if you are able to connect the sites under the same account.

I tried the documentation. I am not able to access the "Tools" tab in Translation Management menu. It just displays the alert message and no other content. Refer Screenshot.

I tried deactivating all the plugins except WPML and changed the theme to TwentyTwentyTwo as well but still the same.

Let me know how to fix this.

Hi there,

When I review the URLs of each site in the system I see that indeed your live site has Pay as you go subscription enabled but I can also see that the dev environment has 40k worth of credits on it's own organization

Staging site
Deposited credits: 62546
Used credits: 22536
Available credits: 40010

With your permission, I can go ahead and attempt to connect the dev site to your live site's organization with the pay as you go plan.

Yes. Please do that.
I need both the dev and live sites to have Pay as you go plan activated.

Hello,

Both organizations have been merged and share the pay-as-you-go account along with the pre-paid credits.

In "Translation Management" page in Dev website, I am not able to see anything. All I see is a alert window.

Can you let me know how to fix this? I have deactivated all plugins and activated Default WP theme and checked. Still the same screen is displaying.

Also you mentioned that you have activated PayAsYouGo option for both websites. But in WPML Account page, it shows Live website is using PayAsYouGo and Dev website is still using credits. Attached screenshot.

Please provide me with access to your staging site. From our side I have migrated the 2 under the same organization.

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to test the issue.

**Before we proceed It is necessary to take FULL BACKUP of your database and your website. Providing us with access, you agree that a backup has been taken **

I often use the Duplicator plugin for this purpose: http://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply.
The information you enter is private which means only you and I have access to it.

NOTE: If access to the live site is not possible and the staging site does not exist please provide me with a duplicator package created with the duplicator plugin.

Thank you,
Bobby

Instead, Does this solve the issue If I add these sites as separate sites in the WPML account? As this account has the option to add 3 websites, I can add these 2 websites under this account. Will this work?

Because this is taking too much time and we are not able to do/continue our work on the dev website.

I clicked the below link from Dev website dashboard and the TRANSLATION MANAGEMENT page started displaying correctly on the DEV website now.

If you didn't intend to move this site to hidden link, you can indicate that this site should be at ****.

But now am seeing this alert msg on the LIVE website. As mentioned earlier, Can I remove and add hidden link as a new website in WPML? In that case, Does this solve the issue?

Removing and adding the site in the WPML.org account is not related to this issue.

You have 2 different keys

1. This is your registration key and this is related to wpml.org but does not control much when it comes to automatic translation

2. You have the automatic translation organization this holds credits, and translation memory.

Is it possible to share with me access to the backend, this would speed up the issue resolution dramatically as I would be able to quickly see what is happening and if needed discuss it or escalate it to the ATE team.

The 2 sites are connected, the warning is also mentioning that

"The site at hidden link is using the same credits for automatic translation as this site."

It looks like the message was stuck, to resolve I went to WPML->Troubleshooting->Force enable WPML's Advanced Translation Editor.

*No need to do this again, I have performed it already.

Let me know your results, please.

Still facing issues. Now the Dev website is showing different popup and still not able to access the Automatic Transaltion page. Also in WPML account, DEV URL is not mentioned.

Can you make sure to activate PayAsYouGo for both dev and live websites? Also make sure Automatic Transaltion works seamlessly without any issues on both sites?

Was the website moved again after my last message?

I have connected it again, see the screenshot.

Please review the following documentation:

No. I didnt move the site.
I can see Pay As You go active in both dev and live. But in WPML account, it shows only Live website URL. Can you check and confirm that as well?

Thank you for the screenshot! That should not be an issue as the 2 websites are under the same account which is held by the main live site.
