This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client reported that translated pages with a status of 'pending review' were not appearing in the translation queue. The content in question was created using the Heroic KB plugin, and there was uncertainty about its compatibility with WPML.

Solution:
First, we advised the client to:
1. Go to the translations queue.
2. Click the filter icon on the Status column.
3. Select "Pending review".
4. Click "Ok" to see if the content appears.

Upon further clarification, it was identified that the issue involved a custom post type (ht_kb) that was being treated as standard posts. We suggested that the client:
1. Check WPML settings to ensure that the custom post type 'ht_kb' is set as translatable.
2. Follow the guide provided by the theme for making custom post types and taxonomies translatable.
3. Once registered as translatable, the content should appear in the translation management queue and be translated and reviewed accordingly.

We also noted that the Heroic KB plugin is not on our compatibility list, which can be checked here: WPML compatibility list.

Additionally, we mentioned that the KnowAll theme is compatible with WPML, but the compatibility information is outdated, and the theme may have evolved since the last update. The compatibility status can be checked here: KnowAll theme compatibility.

Thank you for the updates.

I need to take a closer look at your site. So I request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP), preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.

Your next answer will be private, to share this information safely.

Also provide detailed steps to reproduce the issue and links to pages in admin and on frontend.

IMPORTANT: Please take a complete backup of the site to avoid data loss. I may need to activate/deactivate plugins also.

See https://wpml.org/purchase/support-policy/privacy-and-security-when-providing-debug-information-for-support/ for details on privacy and security.

You can skip FTP and Server Protection details.

However, FTP is needed to transfer files to your site, in case if a plugin malfunctions, we need it to disable via FTP.

Server Protection refers to any password applied before even accessing the site. This is usually applied to under construction or private sites. This is different than WP Admin login details. If your site isn't using such protection, you may skip it too.

I've enabled your next reply as private again to provide admin access to WordPress backend.

Also provide detailed steps to reproduce the issue and links to pages in admin and on frontend.

Hi Waqas,

Thank you for the update, but I believe we have a little missunderstanding. So the article/post from my website aren't create in post, the article/post are created using heroic KB (attach as a detail).

is WPML compatible with the article Heroic KB?

Ah I see, it wasn't clear from the beginning as you referred to "translated pages", which are generally Pages or Posts.

Anyways, the said plugin isn't on our compatibility list (https://wpml.org/plugin/?wpv_view_count=120064&wpv-plugin-functionality=0&wpv_post_search=Heroic&wpv-wpcf-recommendation-flag=&wpv_filter_submit=Search). So I am not sure at this point about the level of compatibility.

However, I can give it another try, allow me some time and I'll get back to you accordingly.

Thank you for waiting on this.

I am wondering how did you translate those Heroic KB Articles? Because I see those are set as "Not translatable" in WPML -> Settings -> Post Types Translation (see attached).

Since these aren't set to translate, they won't appear in Translation Management also (see attached).

You'll need to set those Articles as translatable and then translate accordingly. See https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-custom-posts/ for details.

Hi, Waqas. Thanks for your reply.

It's weird because I went to Translation Management and can see all the articles on my website. I then assigned the articles to the translator, and they managed to translate them okay.

Also, the theme provider (HeroThemes) said that WMPL is fully compatible with their theme. They suggested it, and that's why I used the plugin.

They have the working documentation: hidden link

Thank you for the updates.

I think there's a confusion between Posts (standard post type = post) and Articles (custom post type = ht_kb). In your recent screenshot, if you notice, the post type column lists these as "Post", which means somehow theme is registering Articles as standard posts (even Articles CPT is registered separately), because perhaps these aren't set as translatable in WPML settings. In this case, you have to deal these as standard WordPress Posts. And I stand my previous comments about it (the private message earlier).

Otherwise you may need to contact theme support that if you created Articles, why these are registered as (standard) Posts. This is however a different problem than the current one.

If you want these really treated as translatable Articles (custom post type = ht_kb), you 'll need to make this translatable, just like they also mentioned in their guide (see attached). The guide also talks about related custom taxonomy, please read and follow the guide carefully.

Once these are registered (custom post type and taxonomy), these should appear in TM as Articles. You should also translate these accordingly (either from TM or from Articles listing page) and review accordingly.

By the way, the theme "KnowAll" is on our compatibility list (https://wpml.org/theme/knowall/), but the last compatibility updated was several years ago. Theme would have evolved much since then.
