We have performance issues, the hosting has really a lot of resources, but the webshop is soooo slow

Is there any documentation that you are following?

Hi there.

Before this ticket gets assigned to one of my colleagues, I will try to help.

Can you create a full website backup and then update the WPML plugins to the beta versions and see if the issue gets resolved?

Or test this in a testing/staging environment if you can't create a backup first?

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to back up the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Hi Carlos,

Switching from one woocommerce category to the other takes really really long time.
So, click products and switch between the categories. This should go much faster right?

Hi there,

I can see it takes some time to load different categories in hidden link (I would say it's within the normal range) However I can also see that the cache is working correctly, which you can see when switching back to a category previously visited.

I suspect that this delay is caused by a third-party functionality so I recommend you to follow these steps in order to isolate the cause:
- Create a full backup of the site
- Flush the cache memory
- Deactivate all plugins, including the WPML ones
- Activate a default WordPress theme, like Twenty Twenty
- Activate the WPML plugins, Woocommerce and Woocommerce Multilingual
- If the issue disappeared, start by activating the theme and then the resto of the plugins, one by one, until the issue appears again and you find the culprit.

Could you tell me the results of the steps described above?

Hi Carlos, I think the really simple ssl caused these issues. Have a look again and tell me what you think, while clicking on the site? And thanks the issue was not WPML related, sorry for that.
