We have been trying to figure it out for a couple of weeks. Text translations work fine, but all our maps are not working. Houzez support tried three times and they were unable to fix it, they referred to you for help.

We have two languages, main English and Russian. We think we narrowed it down to one setting that causes the problem.

Take this property as example please. hidden link

In English (unnamed.jpg) the marked setting works ('The user must be logged in to view the property?'). When Russian translation is updated in WPML (unnamed(1).jpg) , this setting remains unselected and listings don't show on the map in both language versions hidden link

The other setting on the left ('Do you want to mark this property as featured?') is greyed out in Russian version. Shouldn't it be greyed out and updated automatically when English option is changed?

You can find properties in WP menu Real Estate -> Properties

There are so many settings in WPML, we can't figure it out.

Hi,

Welcome to WPML support. First let's confirm that the issue is indeed the setting you mentioned.

What happens if you manually go to the Russian property edit screen and set the "logged in" option to what you set in English.

Does the property then show correctly?

If not, then the issue is not related to the item you mentioned. If yes, then it should be a matter of syncing that specific option between two languages.

That can be done by setting the option as a copy by going to WordPress Dashboard > WPML > Settings > Custom Field Translation.

You can search for the option name. You can ask the Houzez developers what is the name of that specific option under the hood and you can search for that.

Set that option to COPY.

For more information:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-custom-fields/

https://wpml.org/documentation/support/language-configuration-files/custom-fields-translation-options/

Then follow the steps below:

- Go to your Dashboard > Properties.
- Open the edit screen of the original language. You should see a pencil/circle/gear icon in the sidebar options under the "Languages" section.
- Make a small change, for example, add an extra blank space at the end of a sentence/paragraph.
- Save it.
- You should now see that a circular arrow appears beside the 2nd languages links, this means that an update is required.
- Edit the translation again and save it up to 100% translated.

If the issue persists, I'd appreciate it if you could give me the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard after you make sure that you have a backup of your website.
It is absolutely important that you give us a guarantee that you have a backup so if something happens you will have a point of restore.

Make sure you set the next reply as private.

Also please tell us what was the option name under the hood.

Thanks.

Hello,

Thank you for the login information. I think I found out the custom field that needs to be changed.

The name of the custom field is fave_loggedintoview. I changed the translation status of it to "COPY" from WordPress Dashboard > WPML > Settings > Custom Field Translation.

Then I refreshed the property and made sure the translation is 100% complete.

Now whatever you select for that option will reflect on the translation.

Thanks.
