On our new webshop we have chosen to only add the products in one language and show that language on all languages in our front-end. So the user keeps browing in their own language, but the content is shown from that one language.

However, I am unable to find any filter plugin that handles this correctly. We have now landed on Filter Everything PRO. The filters work on category pages, but they don't work on the default shop page or to filter search results. It all works in our default language, but not the other languagues.

Our default language is NL, so filters work on:
1. Shop page: hidden link
2. Category page: hidden link
3. Search page: hidden link

However, the same cant be said for the EN language:
1. Shop page doesn't work: hidden link
2. Category page works: hidden link

The filter developer has pointed us back to WPML, saying it is probably an issues with our setup. Any idea on how to fix this?

Hello,

I am afraid that is expected since no taxonomies exist in 2nd languages, and even if they exist there is no product to associate with it so nothing to show in filter or filter it.

Translated content needs to exist for this to work correctly.

As it says in our docs:

- https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/displaying-untranslated-content-on-pages-in-secondary-languages/#how-to-display-untranslated-post-types-as-a-fallback
Please keep in mind that this translation option does not create posts in the second language. Instead, it displays the default language content which cannot be associated with translated taxonomies.

The only thing I can suggest is translating your taxonomies/product, or duplicating them in 2nd language.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Drazen
