Background of the issue:
We have an English website (primary) and a French website using WPML. We just completed a new design and layout for the English homepage, and my client wants to publish it. However, the new French homepage is not yet ready.

Symptoms:
No specific issue or error message mentioned.

Questions:
Is it possible to publish the new English homepage while keeping the old French homepage?

Hello There,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support.

I understand what you're looking for. If you want to publish the new English homepage while keeping the French homepage as it is, that's definitely possible. The French version will continue to display the current homepage until you choose to update the translation.

However, if you’ve created a new English homepage and want to display it while keeping the French version unchanged, you’ll need to connect the French page with the new English page. To do this, first disconnect the French page from the previous English page.

For guidance on disconnecting translations, refer to this guide: https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-disconnect-translations-from-the-default-language-page-or-post/.

Once disconnected, you can link the French page to the new English homepage by following these instructions: https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-link-already-translated-pages/.

I hope you can understand. Feel free to let me know if you need further assistance or clarification. I'll be happy to assist.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

Hi Osamu,
I hope you're doing well. Sorry for the delay in responding due to the weekend.

The reason you can't see the popup is because the WordPress Editor is already selected. Since it's already selected, it can't be chosen again to trigger the popup.

To see the popup, select "WPML Translation Editor." When the popup appears, click "Apply." Then, reselect "WordPress Editor," and the popup should appear again. Choose where you want to see the translation editor and click "Apply."

Please try and feel free to let me know if you need further assistance in this matter. I'll be happy to help.

Best regards,
Prosenjit
