This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
If you're experiencing issues with translations not saving and a persistent loading bar, except for the French translation, and you're wondering if you can edit English and French translations in the Gutenberg editor instead of always using the advanced translator.
Solution:
We recommend not using the WPML editor and the WordPress editor to translate the same content as it can cause conflicts. To resolve the issue, we suggest you open the translated pages using the WordPress editor, which should work correctly. If you make edits using the WordPress editor, be aware that these changes will be reverted if you update the translation using the WPML editor. To avoid this, you should disable the WPML editor for the post or page you want to edit. For detailed steps on how to manually translate content and disable the WPML editor for specific posts or pages, please refer to our manual translation guide.

If this solution doesn't look relevant to your issue, please open a new support ticket so we can assist you further.

Since the advanced translate editor actually doesn't work 99 out of 100 times. should I just turn it off in general (WPML advanced) editor?

Then I just always translate via wpml and go to the gutenberg editor to possibly still adjust it where necessary?

So the steps are
WPML --> Translation management --> check blog / page --> Automatic translation --> Then publish in the gutenberg editor --> make any adjustments also in the gutenberg editor

Is this correct then?

Hi,

This will be a suitable approach if you don't send the same page/post to automatic translation again.

Best regards,

That's great! Because some exclusion keywords were in fact not included by WPML,

But now I can just copy the text in the gutenberg editor to chat gpt, then have it rewritten including exclusion keywords and then add it back in the gutenber editor and update

Is that problem also solved. Two birds in one stone 🙂
