Hello,

1) In order to expedite handling your support requests, can you please share WPML support debug information from your site.

- To give debug information, login to your site and go to WPML → Support. From there click on the “debug information” link at the bottom of the page.
- Once on the “debug information” page, select the entire content of the text box and copy it.
- Now go back to our support forum, find debug information box and paste it.

More information on the link: https://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/

2) Please share more info on how it is not working, what have you done and what goes wrong? Images or video would be helpful.

Thanks,
Drazen

Created root page. there, en-us (default language) is preselected in the switcher. maybe it is also supposed to work like that?

Hello There,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support. Sorry for the delay in responding due to the weekend.

Yes! If you have selected a root page, the language code of the default language will appear in the URL as a directory("/en-us"). This is how "Use directory for default language" is supposed to work. If you don't want to see that, you can keep the "Use directory for default language" option disabled.

However, if my understanding differs from what you intended, kindly provide further clarification. Sharing screenshots or a video would be especially helpful. This will allow me to understand your requirements more clearly and help you to find the solution that you're looking for.

Best Regards,
Prosenjit
