[Escalated to WPML Developers team] Slow admin backend
This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.
Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.
Our wait time is higher than usual, please make sure you are meeting the minimum requirement - https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements before you report issues, and if you can take a look at current Known Issues - https://wpml.org/known-issues/. Thank you.
Background of the issue:
I am trying to load the wp admin backend. Here is the link to the page where the issue can be seen: hidden link
Symptoms:
I expected to see a fast backend, but instead, I got a slow javascript file from WPML.
Questions:
Why is the javascript file loading so slowly in comparison to the other javascript files? can this be done faster? can this be changed so that the file can be cached in the browser?

Hello,
So far, it does not look as if this file is coming from WPML.
We need full admin access to the site to investigate the issue.
I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to the site to investigate the issue further.
The required fields are below the comment section when you log in to leave the next reply. The information you provide is private, meaning only you and I can see and access it.
IMPORTANT
Please be sure to back up the site and database before granting us access.
If you can't see the "wp-admin / FTP" fields, your post and site login details will be set to "PUBLIC". DO NOT publish the data unless you see the required wp-admin / FTP fields.

Hello Andreas,
thank you for looking into this. There is a JAVASCRIPT file that wpml calls, that cannot be cached and that is taking a long time to load. This occurs on every backend page.

All I can say so far is, that this is a very big script with almost 30k lines and I can see still a load time of 1.3 seconds when testing the site only with WPML.
I am currently asking our ATE Team if a load time of around 1-2 seconds can be expected.

Yes, indeed!
