Hey Nicolas, hope you had a nice weekend!

I was able to complete all the cuisines and features, in all languages. I just checked the google search console and there appears to contain a really weird thing in the Page Indexing > Not found (404) section.

The first URL: An ingredient that is translated into Romanian, appears to come up under lang=fr.
4th URL: The romanian version of a recipe comes up under the english recipes

Do you think I have to do the exact same thing, go into each individual ingredient in order for this to be fixed, or is there something that I'm missing?

Also attached a screenshot of the "Excluded by ‘noindex’ tag".

Hi again,

I looked at the screenshot but I'm not sure to understand the issue here.

Those pages are excluded from index by the "noindex" tag right? That's seems "normal" because all of them start with /wp-login

I visited your site to try to understand from where those links could come. On your recipes you have a comment section and visitors must login before being able to comment.
So there is a link to the login page that redirects them immediately (after login) to the recipe they want to comment on. The url looks like this:
- English version
hidden link
- FR version
hidden link

For me that make sense that those links have 'noindex' tags and they are auto-generated by WordPress.

Let me know if I missed something (you mentioned also 404 errors).

Hi Nicolas,

Perfect, in this case the second issue is resolved, just wanted to make sure that they're meant to be that way.

And for the first issue, do you know why the 404 errors are appearing for those weird mixes of languages?

Hey,

Yes you mentioned 404s but I don't se any information about them. Can you share the report (or a screenshot)? I want to investigate them.

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply but I was searching information about SEO and Referencing.
The use of "language as parameter" (?lang=fr), can affect your referencing.
Ref: hidden link

I would recommend to switch to "languages in repertories" (/fr)
- Go to "WPML > Languages > Language URL format" and choose "Different languages in directories "
- Go to "Settings > Permalinks" to re-save your permalinks
- Purge any cache you may have
- Re-submit your sitemaps to Google Search Console

That should help with ingredients and feed URLs

Note that it will not have an immediate impact. Google will need to crawl your site again and properly re-index it (we have no influence on this process).

Hey man, I've just wanted to ask 2 more things:

The field that says "Celiac PRO since the age of 3 and the creator of "The Gluten-Free Recipes", that appears underneath my name. Where can I translate it into all languages? It doesn't appear in 'string translation', and if I try to go to users -> this user and change the language, it changes the text into all the languages.

Secondly, I wanted to send Nicolas a gift for all his help, he's been awesome! That's why I wanted a contact email or anything else.

Hey Radu,

So nice of you! You don't have to send me anything 😉

Regarding your last question, if I understand correctly this string of text is coming from your user profile right?
In that case you can follow this documentation: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/translating-user-meta-information-with-wpml/

To translate your user account meta field, select only the user type "Administrator" else you will have meta fields from all your subscribers/customers registered in "WPML > String Translation".
