This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client reported that the word "Store" on their French page did not translate to "Catalogue" and was also experiencing a 404 error on the default page.
Solution:
First, to address the translation issue, we recommended the following steps:
1. Go to WPML → String Translation.
2. Enable the option to auto-register the strings.
3. Navigate to the page where untranslated strings are displayed.
4. Return to WPML → String Translation, disable the option, and verify if the given string has been registered.
5. Translate the string.
For more details, visit finding strings that don't appear on the String Translation page.
Secondly, to resolve the 404 error, we suggested:
1. Update the permalinks in Settings → Permalinks.
2. Check if the Shop page is correctly set in WooCommerce → Settings → Shop page.
If these solutions do not resolve your issues or seem outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket.
