This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The client is attempting to translate the strings "Geschichte", "Ziele", and "Konzept" on their webpage, but these strings are not being detected for translation. This issue is likely due to the strings being added through a custom Elementor widget that lacks WPML language configuration.

Solution:

We recommend creating a WPML language configuration file for your custom Elementor widget to enable translation. You can find detailed guidance on how to do this by visiting the following documentation links:

Ensure to back up your site before making these changes.

If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Should you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to open a new support ticket or visit our support forum.

Hello,

Welcome to the WPML support forum. I will do my best to help you resolve the issue.

Have you added these strings using a custom Elementor widget? If so, the widget is likely missing WPML language configuration, which is necessary for proper translation.

To fix this, you will need to create a WPML language configuration. Please refer to the following documentation for detailed guidance:

https://wpml.org/documentation/support/language-configuration-files/how-to-register-page-builder-widgets-for-translation/

https://wpml.org/documentation/support/language-configuration-files/overriding-language-configuration-files/

Please try it after a site backup and let us know your feedback.

Hello Bigul,

I'm having trouble to register the widget.

I have two questions:

1. Can you please mark my next answer as private so I can send you the elementor_data JSON aswell as access details to the dev site?

2. Unrelated to this ticket but still relevant: Can you please remove the Loom Links from our other ticket https://wpml.org/forums/topic/formatting-breaks-making-texts-translatable/ as they show sensitive data?

With best regards
