Hi,
I installed WPML on my website with the domain name leapps.app.
I want to use a subdomain for the French version of my website. The subdomain is fr.leapps.app
The subdomain is pointed to the IP of the website correctly and there is nothing else mentioned that should be done in the WPML instructions.
Yet, when I try to validate the subdomain in the WPML plugin on WordPress, it gives the error that the subdomain is not valid.
When I test if the domains are set properly, they should all show the same site without a redirection but it does not work. It only shows the same site if we create a redirect but in the WPML instructions, it says there should not be a redirect.
I still tried to validate the subdomain with a redirect in the WPML plugin but it gives a not valid error. So we removed the redirect.
I'm uploading to this message chat screenshots of the confirmation the support gave for my subdomain from my hosting provider SiteGround and also screenshots of my DNS configurations and subdomain SSL certificate configuration.
I'm at loss of what should be done for configuring a subdomain for my French translation.
Can you let me know if there is something I'm missing?

Hello,
Thank you for contacting WPML support team,
Would it be possible to have the access to both your hosting account and WordPress Admin?
It is important to note that you should back up your site and database before proceeding, and you can use a plugin like Duplicator for this purpose. Here’s a link to the plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
If you do not see the form below, please do not enter your credentials, as they will be publicly exposed:

You ask for access to the live site but I saw that you made changes on the live site.
Yet, I provided the link towards the staging website and not the live website and if you use this link, you have no choice but to go on the staging website. For this reason, I don't understand how you would not know that you did the changes on the live website as you had to purposefully connect to the live site to make the changes.
Now you ask access to my hosting provider for information I already provided in the screenshots of my initial request. There is nothing more to see about my domain and subdomain.
Also, my issue is about the URL format by using a subdomain for the French version of my website, not about the option of using a language name as a parameter.
Yet, the changes I saw on my live website show that you configured the option of using a language name as a parameter.
I was waiting to get some information and explanations about what you tested, but not nothing.
All I get is a request for more access when you used the access I gave you without care and caution.
I have a backup of my website AND the staging website to cover anything.
But because you did changes directly on my live site when I provided a staging site to test whatever you need to test, and that you give me no feedback on what you did when I plainly see that you are not testing a URL format option that asked about, and that you give no feedback whatsoever and still ask for more access, I am unable to trust that you will make a good use of more.
I will not give you access to my hosting DNS zone and domain configuration as all the information you need is in the screenshots.
I saw that the language name as a parameter for the URL format that you configured on my live website displayed the information in French but the presentation was completely off and ugly. I can see this only when I'm logged in the WP Admin.
When I'm logged off the WP Admin, the French version, it is a 404 error. I don't know what you did on my live website and since you give no feedback I guess I'll never really know.
I attach to this reply some screenshots to prove what I say happend to my website since you gained access.
I don't want your help anymore. I will figure things out on my own and decide if it's worth staying with WPML or not.
I'm very disappointed with support from WPML as I expected better.
But that's my problem.
I removed all the access I gave you and I changed the passwords of my two other users in my WordPress Admin. I also restored the backup of my website so bring it back to how it was before you gained access. I made sure that my website is back to what it was. I also destroyed the staging website.
Please, close this ticket, I fix things on my own.
