Background of the issue:
I am experiencing an issue with the post count for a custom taxonomy in the admin dashboard. I have a custom taxonomy called agro_blog_category, and the issue is related to how the post count is displayed for translations. On the English admin taxonomy page, the category 'Category 2' shows 7 posts in the post count column, but only 5 posts are listed when I click to view them. The Ukrainian version of the taxonomy page shows the correct count. I have tried clearing WPML cache, using troubleshooting options, re-saving posts and translations, and updating term relationships manually.

Symptoms:
The post count for a custom taxonomy in the English admin dashboard does not update correctly, showing more posts than are actually listed.

Questions:
Why does the English post count not update correctly?
How can I fix the post count mismatch for translations in WPML?

Hi,

thanks for contacting us. Did you check if by chance the extra posts are in the trash? When posts are in trash they still exist in the database and WPML might see them.
