I am trying to: Translate my home page. The translation from French to English is complete and the whole page translates correctly and switches to English and back using the language switcher in my menu.
But one of the text widgets refuses to show the translation and still shows the French text even when I switch to English.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:

In the attached screenshot, the third and longest text refuses to switch to English.

Thank you for your help on this isssue.

Hello,

It looks like the screenshot did not upload.

Please review the following documentation and try to create the widget per language. (1 widget for the default language and 1 for the translation )

https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-widgets/#using-different-widgets-for-different-languages

Let me know your results, please.

Hi,
Thank you for your reply.
Sorry for the missing screenshot; I hadn't noticed there was a 1MB limit.

The screenshot shows the text I'm referring to (marked in red brackets).
Although the text has been translated on the translation page and the translation is marked as 100% complete, the text still stays French when I switch to the English language.

I tried both an Elementor text widget and another text widget provided by my theme (Essentials theme) but both times the text stays French while the rest of the page switches to English.

Thank you.

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to test the issue.
(preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible)

**Before we proceed It is necessary to take FULL BACKUP of your database and your website. Providing us with access, you agree that a backup has been taken **

I often use the Duplicator plugin for this purpose: http://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply.
The information you enter is private which means only you and I have access to it.

NOTE: If access to the live site is not possible and the staging site does not exist please provide me with a duplicator package created with the duplicator plugin.

Thank you,
Bobby

Thank you for the access details!

I was able to see what is causing this behavior.

The text element used is not native to Elementor rather its coming from the theme PixFort Elements.

For an element to show in the Translation Editor they will need to be registered for translation.

This is our standard documentation on how to do this:
https://wpml.org/documentation/support/language-configuration-files/how-to-register-page-builder-widgets-for-translation/

and I recommend reviewing this documentation specifically for Elementor widgets:
https://wpml.org/documentation/support/language-configuration-files/how-to-register-page-builder-widgets-for-translation/

Another solution would be to do a manual transition for this specific element:

1. View the EN page in the front end
2. Click on "Edit with Elementor" (dismiss the warning)
3. manually edit the widget -> add the translation and update

Let me know your results, please.
