[Resolved] The heading changed on translated pages
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client was experiencing issues with the heading and menu items on the Dutch translated pages of their website. They wanted the Dutch pages to use the same heading and menu as the original English pages. Solution: 1. We duplicated the header to ensure the same styling is used in both languages. 2. We identified that the menus showing up were due to the use of the "menu sync" option. To address the missing buttons and to have more control over the menu, we suggested looking at our documentation on translating menus. 3. For the client's specific needs, we recommended using the "Fully custom method" for translating menus, as detailed in our documentation here: Fully custom method. We also advised creating a full website backup before making changes.

I am translating my website into Dutch. On the Dutch translated pages there is a different heading. see screenshot of a page in the original English language and a screenshot of the Dutch translation.
1. So, from my understanding, you would like to use the same heading style for both languages, correct? Please confirm.
2. I would also like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.
Our Debugging Procedures
I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.
- Please make a backup of the site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box.
If you follow those steps, you should be able to serve whatever buttons you want on the menu area from the NL language.
My recommendation is to first create a full website backup so that you can easily restore to in case you change your mind later but I think I understood what you want correctly. 🙂
