Background of the issue:
We have developed a news website (WP 6.6 + Themify Ultra theme + WPML) here: hidden link. The website works fine until we start using WPML for translations. WPML installation & setup finishes without errors.
Symptoms:
When we duplicate a page for translation and we try to visit the website after, we get a 500 internal server error. Only the home page is visible. Everything else is 500 error. If we delete the translated pages and save the permalinks again, the website (in the original language) works again.
Questions:
How can we resolve the 500 internal server error when using WPML for translations?
Is there a known compatibility issue between Themify Ultra theme and WPML?
What steps should we take to ensure the translated pages do not cause errors?
