This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
When translating a product and switching to a different language via the topbar, the product description input textarea is missing in the backend product page.
Solution:
We found that a custom CSS rule from the Advanced Custom Fields Plugin, likely the Advanced Custom Fields: Extended, was hiding the Product Description input field. We recommend updating all your plugins to the latest version to see if this resolves the issue. If not, please deactivate all ACF and related plugins and check the admin page for the product again to confirm the cause of the issue.
Please ensure to back up your website completely before attempting any of these steps.

If the solution provided here is not relevant to your case, because it might be outdated or not applicable, we suggest opening a new support ticket. We also highly recommend checking related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. When translating a product, by clicking on the topbar and switching to the desired language. But when looking at the backend product page the product description input textarea is missing. First image is the NL version which is main language, second one is EN.

Hi,

thanks for contacting us.

Could you please update WPML and all the plugins and see if the issue is resolved? The version you're currently using is not compatible with WordPress 6.5.
You can update from Plugin > Add new > Commercial

Hello,

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. It would be better to a testing site where the issue is replicated.

You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Maybe I'll need to replicate your site locally. For this, I’ll need to temporarily install a plugin called “Duplicator” or "All in One WP Migration" on your site. This will allow me to create a copy of your site and your content. Once the problem is resolved I will delete the local site. Let me know if this is ok with you.

IMPORTANT

- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this:

Hello,

Thank you for sharing access. I checked your website and noticed that there is a custom CSS rule in the translations that prevents the Product Description input field to be displayed (check the attached image).

I did some research and found out that this rule comes from the Advanced Custom Fields Plugin, more likely the Advanced Custom Fields: Extended.

Please update all your plugins to the latest version and check if the error is solved. If that doesn't solve it, I ask you to deactivate all ACF and related plugins and check the admin page for the product again. This way, we can confirm what's causing the issue.

Please don't forget to make a complete website Backup before performing any of the suggestions I made.

Let me know.
