This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The Layout section created with Avada can't be translated
Solution:
To translate the Avada layout section you need to make sure first that the layout is created for all languages, so please try the following steps:
1- Go to Avada > Layouts
2- Switch the language to "All languages" from the admin bar
3- Create the layout in all languages
4- Create the layout section in all languages
5- When translating the content of the layout that was created with the Avada builder, make sure not to use the translation editor. So just switch to the secondary language and create the translation content.

Hi Annie,
Thanks for contacting WPML support, I will be happy to help you today.
First, can you please update all the WPML related plugins to the latest version?
After updating the plugin make a small change to the original layout, then update the English translation and make sure the translation is completed and check if you still seeing the same issue.
Kindly be noted that I'm not able to check the page, it requests the HTTP Authentication credentials.
If the above steps didn't help, I would like to request temporary access (HTTP Authentication credentials and wp-admin) to your site to take a better look at the issue. It would be better to a testing site where the issue is replicated.
I've enabled the private box for your next reply, so the information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access.

Hi Annie,
Sorry for the late response, please note that we have limited support on weekends.
Thanks for providing the access details, when I checked the page on the front end I couldn't see any page content in the French version, the product shows up in English translation only. Please check the following screenshots:

So I checked the layout under Avada > Layouts and found that it's created in English and not translated into French, so please add a french translation and check if the issue is solved, you can also use the "Language of this section" option to change it to french then add the English translation.
After adding the layout translation, make a small change to the page using that layout then update the page and the translation.
Sorry it's my fault. I changed the layout after I had made the ticket. Now it's ok and you will see my problem: french layout is the good one and english one doesn't work. It displays the default content (without button Acheter).
When I am on the english layout backend, I can't add a custom section. Exemple, if I want to add a content section, add a name (example abcdef), it is not saved after clicking on Create New Section Button.
The source code of the English page shows that the shortcode is broken with p tags wrapping it (Please check the attached screenshot). So I will need to investigate this issue further on a clean installation to figure out if this is a compatibility issue with the Avada builder or it's related to the site's configuration (like how the product or the section layout is translated).
I've created a sandbox site with a clean WordPress installation so you can install the theme there and try to reproduce the issue. Please use the following URL to login hidden link then install the theme, create a section layout with a simple product, and check if you can see the same behavior.
Let me know please when you're done, so I can continue investigating the issue or escalate it to our 2nd tier support team if it can be produced on the sandbox.
I have done everything you requested on the sandbox. I installed the Avada theme, with at least one product category and one product. I got the same bug. The french layout works. I translated the layout in english and it doesn't work (english page of a product displays the default layout). Furthermore, I cannot add a new section (example: content) in the english layout (same behaviour than on my stage environment).
I hope you will find a solution soon because we have to release the website in some days.
My issue is resolved now. I have talk with the support team of the theme we use (AVADA) and they have sent me this video : hidden link
Thank you!
