Hello, I'm using the Jetpack newsletter, and I can't get it to display in English. I don't know how I should proceed with the translation. I added it to the sidebar using a widget as you can see in this picture.

I'm also unable to translate 'similar posts ' at the bottom of the posts in the English version.

Thanks for contacting WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today.

1) Please check the following steps:

1- Go to WPML-> Theme and plugins localization, select your theme/plugin, and scan
2- Go to WPML-> String Translation
3- Scroll down and click on the "Translate texts in admin screens »" link
4- Search for the needed strings
5- Select the strings
6- Click on the "Add to String Translation" button
7- Then click on the "« Return to String Translation" link
8- Translate the strings, clear the cache, and check the front end

2) Could you please share your Debug information with me?

The debug info will give me a lot of information about how your site is configured.

Hello Osama, thank you for your help. I did everything you told me, and it worked for the similar articles, but not for the newsletter, which is still in French on the English page.
Look at the image to see what I translated.

The newsletter has disappeared on the French pages, and I don't know why. On the English pages, it's still in French.

I removed the widget and put it back, but it doesn't reappear on the French version. I don't know what I might have done.

Thanks for your update. I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP)
– preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible –
in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.

Your next answer will be private, which means only you and I can access it.

❌ Please backup your database and website ❌

✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate the Plugins and the Theme and change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is critical.

✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.

So I was able to solve the issue: for the newsletter that was disappearing on the French version, I deactivated the option on Jetpack, then re-enabled it, and it worked. As for the translation, it was right in front of me and super simple, but I didn't think about it.

All you need to do is create 2 Jetpack newsletter widgets and assign one to the English version and the other to the French version. On the widget itself, you can translate the terms.

I'm really glad to have resolved this issue 🙂 Now, I have the table of contents that I've called "sommaire" that I need to translate. It's a part of the theme. Should I do as you suggested in your first response? Thank you very much for your help.

It's great to hear that the issue is fixed now. 🙂 Please search for the content of table strings in the String Translation and Admin texts screen.

If you didn't find them, may I kindly ask you to open a new ticket for your additional question?
In our forum, we try to keep one issue per ticket. Continuing with one ticket per issue helps supporters focus on one issue at once and enables other users to find solutions to their questions faster.
