This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client needed to re-translate product categories in WooCommerce after reinstalling the WPML plugin.
Solution:
We recommend two approaches to translate the product categories:
1. Manual Translation:
- Navigate to WooCommerce-> WooCommerce Multilingual-> Category tab.
- Translate your categories manually.
- For guidance, check the WooCommerce Multilingual documentation.
2. Automatic Translation:
- Create a new product in the default language.
- Assign all categories to this product.
- Go to WPML-> Translation Management.
- Send this product to automatic translation.
- After the translation is complete, check the categories.
- For more information, refer to the guide on translating all taxonomy terms at once.
Please note that this solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. If so, we highly recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the issue persists, please open a new support ticket with us.
