This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client is using WP Cookie Consent to display a cookie banner consent and has translated all the necessary strings into French. However, while the buttons on the banner appear in French, the text content remains in English. Solution: 1. Go to WPML-> Theme and plugins localization, select your theme/plugin, and scan. 2. Navigate to WPML-> String Translation. 3. Scroll down and click on the "Translate texts in admin screens »" link. 4. Search for the needed strings. 5. Select the strings. 6. Click on the "Add to String Translation" button. 7. Then click on the "« Return to String Translation" link. 8. Translate the strings, clear the cache, and check the front end.

Hi. Please send me a screenshot indicating where is "Translate texts in admin screens" link.
As the main lnaguage of the site is french, I don't find what could be the equivalent.
Hi. I did as you suggested. Found three strings and added them to String translation. Back on the String translation page I found that the string is already translated. Cleared cache anyway and the Cookie banner text is still in English on the french site.
Thanks for your update. I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.
Your answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.
❌ Please backup your database and website ❌
✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate the Plugins and the Theme and change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is critical.
✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.
I added some strings to String Translation by the steps in my previous reply.
It's great to hear that the issue is fixed. 🙂 Please don't hesitate to open a new ticket if you face any other issues. We are always happy to help you.
Hi again. I need your assistance as I'm having a similar issue on another website hidden link
This time, the additionnal strings are in English where they are supposed to be in French.
Would it be that WP Cookie consent plugin has a language selector in it's settings is causing these bugs, the site's main language being French?
