Background of the issue:
I am trying to manage cookies on my site hidden link using the GDPR Cookie Consent by WebToffee. My main site language is German, and I have some cookies in German and some in English. I want to have all cookies assigned to categories in the default language and then just translate the descriptions of the cookies and categories. I am currently using the legacy version of GDPR Cookie Consent but can switch to version 3. I am following the documentation at https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/using-wpml-to-translate-cookie-law-info/.

Symptoms:
I don't seem to have the equivalent cookies in each language, and I think I have this set up wrong. I currently have both cookies and cookie categories manually translated, and it doesn't seem to be working properly.

Questions:
Should there be different cookies in different languages, or should they be the same cookies with descriptions translated?
How should I set up cookies and categories to avoid manually assigning them in both languages?
