Do I need to re-add the translations on the backend if they're showing fine on the front-end?

When I login to the staging site I see the attached. Do I need to do anything about this or just leave it?

Yes, you'll have to re-add the translations if you're using the Advanced Translation Editor as it will overwrite the contents on the frontend.
