This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are trying to display a translation for a global section on your website, but it is still showing in the original language. The translation for the global section is not appearing as expected, displaying in Lithuanian instead of English.
Solution:
1. Ensure that you go to BeTheme → Theme Options → Global → Advanced and set the value of the Muffin Builder data storage to

"Serialized | Readable format"

, which is required by some plugins.
2. If you are using Templates, make sure that they are translated.
3. Set the following custom fields to "copy":
- mfn_footer_template
- mfn_header_template
4. Edit the original footer, save it, and apply the translation again.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to display a translation for a global section on my website, but it is still showing in the original language. The issue can be seen on this page: hidden link

Symptoms:
The translation for the global section is not showing as expected. Instead of seeing the sentence in English, it is displayed in Lithuanian.

Questions:
Why is the translation for the global section not displaying correctly?
How can I ensure the translation appears in English instead of Lithuanian?

Hello,

Please make sure to go to BeTheme → Theme Options → Global → Advanced.

Scroll down and set the value of the Muffin Builder data storage to "Serialized | Readable format", required by some plugins.

Further, if you are using Templates, please make sure that they are translated.

Let me know if further assistance is needed.

Best regards
Andreas

Hi,

thank you for your reply and instructions. However, it is already set this way, so this isn't an issue.

How I/you could fix it? What else could/should be done?

Hi,

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to the site to investigate the issue further.

The required fields are below the comment section when you log in to leave the next reply. The information you provide is private, meaning only you and I can see and access it.

IMPORTANT
Please be sure to back up the site and database before granting us access.

If you can't see the "wp-admin / FTP" fields, your post and site login details will be set to "PUBLIC". DO NOT publish the data unless you see the required wp-admin / FTP fields.

I may need to install a plugin called "All In One WP Migration" here to create a copy of the site that I can use to investigate the issue further.

However, I would also be very grateful if you could provide a staging site or copy of the website from your server for this purpose.

If you have any questions about creating such a staging site, you can consult your hosting provider. Please note that WPML must also be registered on this staging site at https://wpml.org/de/account/websites/.

If you are not able to provide such a copy of the website for testing, please let me know on this ticket.

The private reply form looks like this:

The next time you reply, click on "I still need assistance".

Please note that we are obliged to request this information individually on each ticket. We are not allowed to access any credentials that were not specifically submitted on this ticket in the private response form.

Best regards
Andreas

It looks as if the following custom fields had to be set to "copy".

- mfn_footer_template
- mfn_header_template

I then edited the original footer, saved it and applied the translation again, which solved the issue.
