Tell us what you are trying to do?
I am trying to translate a custom HTML widget. I use Elementor Pro and WPML obviously. I can't see it in the ATE. If I switch to the classical editor, I can see it and translate it but I can't use the automatic translation with DeepL.

Is there any way to translate an HTML code using the ATE?

Alternatively, I am trying to, but not succeeding in creating an HTML code that would deliver two different scripts depending on the language. This is not my preferred option but if it work, it is ok.

Thank you in advance,
David

Hello David,

please try to search for the code as explained here:

Otherwise, you can also try adding PHP code with different scripts per language and control it via IF statement as for example:

Let us know how it goes.

Hi Drazen,

Thank you for your quick feedback.

I tried Option 1 without success. Option 2 could work if I hadn't a specific code for each page. I saw and implemented the code, but I am pushing a different value for each page.

I am now activating the classic editor, "translating" the code, and re-activating the new editor. That allows us to keep the classical editor for this page. However, it is a problem when I want to use automatic translation on this page.

Is there any perspective to properly support HTML code in the ATE?

Hello David,

To troubleshoot the issue further, we need to know how the HTML widget is built , coded and what is it exactly that you are trying to translate.

So to test it I setup a sandbox site for you which you can login to with the next link:

Can you please login to the site, setup WPML and your code/plugin or theme providing the HTML widget ( a default test key will be provided while setting up WPML ).

Then please create a page/post with the HTML widget and let me know which page/post is the HTML on and what exactly and to what is it that you are trying to translate so that I check the issue further for you.
