This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing issues with translating images on a website that uses Advanced Custom Fields (ACF). Despite adding

'wpml_cf_preferences' => 2

to the PHP files, some images are not being copied over to the translated content.
Solution:
If you're experiencing issues with translating images in ACF fields, we recommend the following steps:
1. Navigate to WPML->Settings->Media Translation.
2. Ensure the following options are checked:
- Translate existing media in all languages
- Duplicate existing media for translated content
- Duplicate the featured images for translated content
3. Click on the start button and wait for the process to complete.

Im having a hard time translating a website that is using ACF. 'wpml_cf_preferences' => 2, i have added this line to the PHP files.

Some images are not copied from the original language.

Can you follow the below steps and see if it helps:

- Go to WPML->Settings->Media Translation
- Check the following options
-- Translate existing media in all languages
-- Duplicate existing media for translated content
-- Duplicate the featured images for translated content
- Click on the start button and wait for it to finish.

I checked the page and noticed there was issue with completing the translations and it's fixed now.

Regarding the layout you are using custom fields and the preferences aren't set properly, I suggest you to go to https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/translate-sites-built-with-acf/recommended-custom-fields-translation-preferences-for-acf-and-wpml/ and set the field preferences accordingly.

Text field should be set as translate and most of the other fields should be set as copy. once done, update the page and update the translations, the issue should be fixed.

Hello there,

If you made the changes on one page it will be reflected all over the site, there is no need to make changes in every pages.

Once you made the changes you can update the page and it will work properly.

If you want to have a chat, you can open a new ticket and it will be assigned to a chat supporter if available.

That is not the case, I checked it with support from the chat. But i looks like it has something the do with the template setup. Where should I make changes? We I choose for default, the images show in translation, but when one "Beginpagina template" it doenst show any translation perhaps text of one field

It looks like there is some fatal error happening on the site creating the issue.

If you go here: hidden link it shows "There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions."

I tried to use FTP but it's not working so couldn't enable the debug log to see what's going on.

So can you please follow the below steps and share the results?

1. Add the following code to your wp-config.php

define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', true );

2. Repeat the action of creating the problem.
