[Closed] trying to delete some languages, but it's not working

This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.

I've a feedback from our 2nd Tier Support and this is what he suggested.

- Making sure that automatic translation is not enabled so that the contents are not re-translated

- Activating the disabled languages

- Make sure that the option to delete post translation and taxonomy translation is not checked(refer screenshot)

-Removing the content manually by going to the post type in the language that you want to remove and removing it manually

-The same applied to taxonomies and others.

Could you give the suggestions a try and see if it helps?

Hi, I have done the whole process that you recommended.
That broke my site. I got 404 error in the WHOLE website, though I have only deleted the languages that I don't want, keeping the default language only.

Could you please inform where in the database (which tables) I should delete in order to get products, posts, pages and categories deleted for those languages that I don't want.

I recovered the website and the the whole deleting content process again.
When deleting products and categories, it was fine, but when I deleted the pages in the other languages than default languages it broke the site.
Please how do I completely remove everything from WPML, I want my site back again before the plugin.

We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Is there a testing environment available where we can carry out procedures to eliminate the (removed) languages? Alternatively, could you furnish us with a site snapshot so that we can conduct some preliminary tests before implementing changes on your live site? If you prefer, we can also create a snapshot with your approval.

For this purpose, we typically recommend using the free plugin "Duplicator." If you are already familiar with how Duplicator works ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/), please skip the following steps and simply send me the archive file you downloaded.

To assist you further, please follow these instructions:

Refer to the instructions provided by WPML on how to provide supporters a copy of your site: https://wpml.org/faq/provide-supporters-copy-site/

If the archive file exceeds 400MB in size, please utilize Duplicator's file filters to exclude the cache, wp-uploads directory, media, and archive files.

Once you have the archive file, please share the link with us. You can use services such as Google Drive, Dropbox, or similar platforms as the snapshot file will likely be large.

Please note that your next reply will be private, visible only to you and me. You can paste the link to the file there. Rest assured that once the issue is resolved, I will delete the local site.

Any update on this?
I just want to remove the content and files and tables that the plugin created..PLEASE.
Only you guys know what to remove and where. Please, another work day is lost, because I can't move on with this product incongruence problem.
