Hello, I want teo deactive WPML and delete all translated content. I found 2 posts on how to do it: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/how-to-uninstall-wpml-and-all-translated-content/ The first one states that if I want to remove all translated things, I need to first manually delete all pages etc, and then follow the guide (which is the second link I added), but then the second link pretty much shows you how to delete all translated content (its step 1 in the guide). So it is unclear to me wheter I need to manually delete all translated pages first or can just do it in way the second post shows, please clarify this to me. Then the second problem, in step one of the guide it shows how to delete all translated content at once. When I do that, it will be ask me if I really want to delete it, when I click yes, it will load for some while (supposedly deleting the content I presume) but then it will ask me again if I want to delete the content... it will just keep asking me again and again if I want to delete the content. This is very annoying. Please help. |

Hello There, If you want to delete all translations, we recommend following the instructions mentioned here: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/deleting-languages-and-plugin-data-by-doing-a-wpml-reset-on-your-site/#step-1-remove-the-secondary-languages-and-all-existing-translations When you delete a language, an option to erase all content associated with that language will appear. This method allows you to efficiently remove all translations in one go, saving you the effort of deleting each content individually. But, you may still need to delete the translated taxonomies manually. I hope you can understand. The popup that asks to delete contents may appear for every post type. Please click on the button to delete contents each time the popup appears. I hope it will not appear again once all the posts from the post types are removed. I hope I'm able to clarify things for you. But, feel free to let me know if you still need further assistance. I will be happy to help. Best regards, |

Hello, 1. After doing it like 6 times the notice will stop. Just to see if things were actually deleted, I reactivated the language and then deactivated it again, it again asked me if I actually wanted to delete everything (it showed the same quantities of translations as the first time). I pressed yes, then the loaded very briefly and the notice was gone. Can you please verify if that means everything is actually deleted? 2. I then went on to step 2, to delete the MO and PO files in my file manager. I had translated my site to English and French, however, it only showed MO and PO files in French, none in English. could that be true? 3. I then finished of the proces with the WPML reset. Does this whole proces also delete everything from WPML's accessory plugins? (WCML, CF7 multilingual, WPML Media etc.) |

Hello There, 1) If you have gone through the deletion process multiple times, that means the contents in that language are completely deleted. There is nothing left to be deleted. 2) In the Language folder, you will only find the MO and PO files for the secondary language. Since you have translated from English to French, the French MO and PO files are showing in the folder. It's safe to remove these French files. As for the JSON files, they can be deleted as well since the French language will no longer be available. 3) The WPML Rest will remove WPML tables from the site database. As a result, everything related to WPML and its add-ons will be removed from the site as well. I hope it helps. Please let me know if there is anything else you need help. I will be happy to help. Best Regards, |

Hello, 2. No that's not what I said, what I said whas that I translated to English and French (my primary lanuage is Dutch and not English), in the languages map I only found French files and no English files which I find strange. Could that be normal? |

Hello There, If English is the secondary language of your site and you're not seeing the files, it can be considered normal in some situations. English, being widely used as a base language for many themes and plugins, might not require separate .mo and .po files if the English translations are the same as the original strings. This means that when your site displays content in English, it might be using the default strings provided by WordPress, the theme, or plugins. Therefore, you wouldn't necessarily see separate translation files for English. I hope you can understand. You can just proceed to delete the French files and that will be enough. If there is anything else if you need help with, feel free to let me know. Best Regards, |

Hello, Ah okay. I am now suffering a new problem, namely, images are missing, If you go to the home page of my site hidden link and you scroll down to the "populaire producten" section, the first product "Hondenharnas met gepersonaliseerde tekst" shows no image. Then when you go to the product, some more images in the product gallery are missing. See the images I added, it will show the problem. It is not just happening on this product, but on many other products as well. This gives off a very unprofessional look to my website |

Hello There, If WPML is disabled on the site that you've mentioned, the issue you're facing could be related to another plugin. Would you please check by disabling the other plugins on your site? If that solves the issue, start activating the plugins one by one and continue to check the issue. In this way, you'll be able to pinpoint the one that causes the issue. As per the forum guidelines, we are allowed to handle one issue per ticket. If you still believe WPML is responsible for the issue, kindly create a new ticket for that. Our team will be happy to check and assist you accordingly. If the deletion process is clear to you and have already resolved the issue, could you please mark this thread as resolved? Best Regards, |

I will open a new issue but I'm gonna leave this one open so that I can refer to this thread. Also, I don't consider it solved because this is 100% the cause of WPML, I tried to deactivate other plugins but it didn't solve anything... |
