This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client was unable to translate a string in the 'YITH WooCommerce Request a Quote' plugin, and the translation was not reflecting on the frontend even after clearing the WPML cache and re-scanning the plugin strings.
Solution:
We accessed the backend and discovered that the button text the client wanted to translate had not been registered for translation. Following the steps outlined in our documentation on how to find strings that don’t appear on the String Translation page, we registered the 'Update List' text for translation and provided a Portuguese translation using Google Translator. We then instructed the client to adjust the Portuguese translation as needed.

If this solution does not apply to your situation, or if it seems outdated, we recommend checking the related known issues and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket with us.

Hi,

I'm using wpml for a long time... I'm trying to tranlate a string but it isn't refleting in frontend.
This is in "yith woocommerce request a quote" plugin.

See attached image from code that I'm talking about and string in wpml option, and in the front end should be translated in Portuguese.

I've already empty wpml cache, remove string and locate plugin string again. What can I do more to can translate it without made it directly on code?

Thanks.

Hello There,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support.

I understand what you're looking for. Based on the screenshot provided, it appears that Translation support is indeed integrated into the text. Hence, you should be able to translate the text using String translation.

However, if you encounter difficulties translating the text through String translation, following the instructions outlined in this guide:https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/finding-strings-that-dont-appear-on-the-string-translation-page/#translate-admin-and-settings-strings

I hope it will help to trace and translate the text properly. But, If the above approach doesn't resolve the issue, you may explore the other methods as well mentioned in the guide.

Let me know how it goes. I will be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

Hi There,
I hope you're doing well. Sorry for the delay in responding due to the weekend.

Thank you for trying out the suggestion. Since the issue persists, a closer inspection will be required to understand the root cause of the issue.

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. It would be better to have a testing site where the issue is replicated.

You will find the needed fields below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Maybe I'll need to replicate your site locally. For this, I’ll need to temporarily install a plugin called “Duplicator” or "All in One WP Migration" on your site. This will allow me to create a copy of your site and your content. Once the problem is resolved I will delete the local site. Let me know if this is ok with you.

IMPORTANT
-Please backup site files and database before providing us access.
-If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this:

Looking forward to your response.

Best Regards,
Prosenjit

Hello There,
Thank you for sharing the access information.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to access the login page due to an error message being displayed (hidden link), which prevents me from logging into your backend.

Could you please verify and inform me how I can access the backend? If the login page URL has been altered, kindly include the new URL in your next message. Additionally, if there are any access restrictions in place (such as IP or country-based restrictions), could you temporarily remove these or ensure that 'Germany' and 'Spain' are added to the list of whitelisted countries?

I enabled the private field for you so that you can securely share the access. Looking forward to your response.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

Hi There,

Thank you for the update. I was successfully able to access the backend.

Upon checking, I found that the Button text was not registered for translation yet. As per the instructions mentioned here(https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/finding-strings-that-dont-appear-on-the-string-translation-page/#translate-admin-and-settings-strings), I registered the 'Update List' text for translation and translated it into Portuguese(Translated using Google Translator).

Now, the text appears properly translated, please check this screenshot: hidden link

You can adjust the Portuguese translation as per your needs.

I hope you can understand the process. Feel free to let me know if you need further assistance in this matter. I will be happy to help.

Best regards,
Prosenjit
