Good morning, what is the best URL structure I can do for the website of my client.

Now I have:
psicologo-altea.com = Spanish-language site
psicologo-altea.com/en = English-language site
psychologist-altea.com is a redirect to the English-language site

My client wants:
psicologo-altea.com = the Spanish-language site
psychologist-altea.com = the English-language site (so no redirect)
Is that even possible?

Hi there.

Yes, that is possible.

You can use the "domain per language" functionality:

That's great Mihai! I will look deeper into that link and when it is not resolved I will reply again.

Hi Mihai, I've created now a domain pointer for psicologo-altea.com with the name psychologist-altea.com. But when I go to psychologist-altea.com than in the browser I see the URL psicologo-altea.com.
Or do I need to do a standard redirect from the control panel or with htaccess or other way?

Because when I change language format URL within WPML I get an error message.

An addition, I've tried redirects within the webserver controlpanel (DirectAdmin) or with htaccess file but also that's not working. According to the hosting company the "domain pointer" solution is the best way. But for some reason WPML gives an invalid message.
Thanks for reply!

Hi there.

Unfortunately, this has to be resolved with the hosting support team using the documentation that I shared.

We are not allowed to access the hosting or domain panel of our customers as that is considered a private area and it is impossible for us to help further in situations like this.

I understand but according to the hosting company it's working.
When I go to psychologist-altea.com I see the right site.
But when I than go to WPML and select "a different domain per language" option I get an error message "not valid".
So what now?

Hi there.

Can you please let me know if you tried to save (even if you see that notice - it might be a false positive) and see if the domains work?

Please let me know.

I tried it and yes that's working! So I didn't tick the "validate" option and now when I go to psychologist-altea.com I see the English site and the domain names stays English. Great!

Mihai, one last thing, can I somehow change site title (in this case only a text sentence) when I'm on the English site? I tried using the Customizer but than I don't see a option to change the site title for two languages.
Thanks!
