Hi there,

I suggest that you check this documentation for further information:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-widgets/

If the string translation doe snot do the trick I suggest you use the separate language mode described at the end of the documentation.

Thanks.

Hi, both issues still not resolved. I translated manually already, but it does not show in the website front end widgets? Also there are widgets I can not translate at all? Your suggested link has no new info. Any other options? Thanks.

Hi there,
Thanks, I'd appreciate it if you could give me the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard after you make sure that you have a backup of your website.
It is absolutely important that you give us a guarantee that you have a backup so if something happens you will have a point of restore.

Make sure you set the next reply as private.

Tell us which widget to check in Appearance > Widgets and we will follow up.

Also we will need your permission to copy your website if the issue persists to report this.

Thanks.

Hi there,

You can add the CSS code below to achieve what you want:

#wpv-view-layout-3179-CATTRce7465e89f161b0e2f792b9528eabe9f {
    display: flex;
    justify-content: center;
    align-items: center;
    height: 100%; /* Ensure the parent div takes the full height of its container */
}

#wpv-view-layout-3179-CATTRce7465e89f161b0e2f792b9528eabe9f > div {
    flex: 1;
    max-width: 50%;
    display: flex;
    justify-content: center;
    align-items: center;
}

Please consider this is a custom development and itis a suggestion to get you started with fine-tuning the slider you want. We will not be able to provide additional CSS fine tuning.

Thank you for your understanding.

Hi there,

Thank you for the login info. Here is what I have done:

- I went to WordPress Dashboard > WPML > String Translation.
- Scrolled down and enabled the auto register option:

https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/finding-strings-that-dont-appear-on-the-string-translation-page/#enable-auto-register-strings

- Then went to the front end of the website and reloaded the page once.

- Came back to the string translation and searched for "HANDBALROLSTOELEN" which is the text on the header slider.

- Found the string and as a test added EN at the end of it for translation and it showed on the front end of the website.

- Please do the same for the other parts of the website.

Thanks.

This worked for the slider, thanks. But I have other Widgets headers like
"misschien zoek je dit" and "De ontwikkeling" I translates these
already before but the translation does not show up at all?

Hi there.
For the "misschien zoek je dit" string I did as follows because it seems there are more than one instances that use such string.

- Go to WordPress Dashboard > WPML > String Translation
- Scroll down and click the "Translate texts in admin screens »" link.
- Search for the string on the new page.
- You will see one entry.
- Select that entry and click the "Add to String Translation" button.
- Go back to string translation and this time you will see the new entry and you can translate it there.

One other thing that I see is that when you do that and go to the string translation the Flag of the string shows in English, because the default option of the theme is considered as English. But you added other language as the content.

No Worries, select that string in the string translation page. Scroll down and you will see an option called "Change the language of selected string"

Click it and select the corresponding language and the flag of the string will change. Then you will be able to do the translation.

For more information:

https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/how-to-change-the-source-language-of-strings/

Thanks.

Hi, it's still a mess, I used string translation to change different Widget text, some show translated on the front page when changing the language, while others don't? I don't understand the issues with our site....

Hi there,

I'd be happy to help here, but I need to know specific examples to be able to check and see what is the issue with.

If you can give the specifics I'd be happy to help.

Thank you.
