I recommend that you refrain from converting your existing pages and posts to the Advanced Translation Editor and continue editing the translations manually. This way, you can avoid having to retranslate the content, whether manually or automatically, using the Advanced Translation Editor. This is what I've done to switch to a manual/advanced translation editor hidden link . Disabling the Advanced Translation Editor will not remove the translations you've done using the manual/classic translation.

Using the Advanced Translation Editor allows you to trigger automatic translation using credits. However, if you use the Advanced Translation Editor, it will overwrite the previously manual translations. So, you'll have to complete it if you switch to the Advanced Translation Editor.
