We are going to ask a translator do do this work, however there is a big difference in word count between the figures given on the WPML translation mgmt dashboard and the figure given within the translation page.

I'd like to know what this is? Is it simply due to the translation memory feature you have?

If so, how do I get a final word count for each page/total for all requested translations which reflects the actual word count from the translation pages (not the figure from the WPML translation mgmt dashboard)?

Hello,

Thank you for contacting WPML support team,

The word count most likely doesn't match because of translation memory detected by the Translation Editor,

The translation Management basket currently can't detect it, could you please try this method instead to check the count? : https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/getting-a-word-count-of-your-wordpress-site/

If that doesn't match either, keep in mind that we are currently working on improving the count function, I still do not have the exact date of release for such improvement, but I will keep you updated 🙂

Thank you for your patience,
