[Resolved] WP Import Export Lite and WPML Export and Import can't connect source and target language texts in ...
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client is experiencing issues where the WPML translation editor does not display the target language texts of block contents in post_content, despite the normal WordPress editor showing the target language texts. The client is using WP Import Export Lite and Really Simple CSV Importer for data migration.
Solution: 1. This is a recognized issue with the WPML plugin. We are aware of the problem where translated content does not show in the translation editor after import. Our developers are currently working on a solution. For updates, please check the errata page: WPML All Import - Imported posts don't show the translated content in the translation editor. 2. The code "{"translatedWithWPMLTM":"1"}" found in the blocks of the target language contents is a leftover from the previous website and is not causing the issue. 3. Switching to WP All Import PRO will not resolve this issue as the necessary feature is still under development.
If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend opening a new support ticket. Also, check related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verify the version of the permanent fix, and confirm that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to export data (source language post and corresponding target language post translated by WPML translation editor) from hidden link and import it to a new site under construction. I am using two plugins WP Import Export Lite and Really Simple CSV Importer to import the two files. I added fields _wpml_import_translation_group, _wpml_import_language_code, _wpml_import_source_language_code, _wpml_import_after_process_post_status in our CSV file (exported from WP All Export) and then ran WPML Export and Import.
Symptoms:
WPML Export and Import processed with no error, but, the WPML translation editor cannot show target language texts of block contents in post_content ("Page Builder Page XXXXXXX"), though the normal WordPress editor shows target language texts.
Questions:
Why can't WPML translation editor show target language texts of block contents in post_content?
Is there a known issue with WP Import Export Lite and WPML Export and Import connecting source and target language texts in WordPress blocks?
Would using another plugin WP All Imports Pro resolve this issue?
I am wondering "{"translatedWithWPMLTM":"1"}" in the blocks of the target language contents might relate this issue. Is this code necessary in imported texts?
Hello again,
We have another site hidden link for testing (almost a copy of the original site. Versions of WordPress and plugins are a little old). I added a very simple post for testing hidden link and added a Chinese post of it hidden link manually (not used WPML function at all, just post it after changing the language of the site). Then I connected the Chinese post with the English post by "Connect with translations" link of the WP editor. I deactivated plugins except WPML, ACF and Custom Post Type UI and changed the theme set to the original Twenty-One. I updated the English and Chinese posts as you mentioned before.
Still, the issue occurs. See attached screen shot of WP editor of English and Chinese (added "TW " in every block) and WPML translation editor of Chinese ("TW " in every block are missing).
Questions:
1. Should the WPML translation editor work in such case (connected with translations after posting source and target lang posts individually) ?
2. How and when are data for the WPML translation editor of target texts of each block are added or updated into the database?
3. I was thinking "WPML Export and Import" plugin does such database update (add data for the WPML translation editor of each block). Is it correct?
4. I asked '"{"translatedWithWPMLTM":"1"}" in the blocks of the target language contents might relate this issue. Is this code necessary in imported texts?' in the first question of this support and I haven't got your answer.
5. Is it possible that another plugin for import WP All Imports Pro solve this issue? Or, this issue doesn't depend on a plugin for import?
6. I cannot see yesterday's support log between us in this support screen hidden link. Where can I see it?
If you need to log in on our testing site hidden link, I will add your account.
Thank you.
2) When the translation job is created/saved, data is then also saved in DB.
3) It does in DB for post content, but not the translation editor.
4) It is probably left over from your previous website. It is not the cause of your issue, it is used note content that has been translated using WPML's translation tool.
5) WP All Import PRO will not solve the issue, this feature needs to be developed and be added by our devs. This will take time.
6) You can click and see the private reply / message that where added in chat.
To summarize, for now I advise checking the errata page for when this is fixed/added to our plugins. As said, probably this will take some time, and to be done very soon.
