This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client needs to correct WPForms on existing English and German pages without creating new pages for the forms. Solution: 1. Ensure there is one WP Form created in the website's default language, and it is used on the default language page. 2. Translate the form using WPML's translation management and the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE). 3. Make a minor change to the default language page and re-translate the page using WPML's translation management and ATE, or if translating manually, ensure the same form shortcode is used on all language pages. For detailed guidance, follow the methods outlined in our documentation.
Tell us what you are trying to do?
Hi there,
WPML translated my Dutch site to English and German.
Manually I changed the wpforms to English and German forms.
Now I see that WPML changed them back to the Dutch WP form.
What is wrong in my settings?
Is there any documentation that you are following?
no
Is there a similar example that we can see?
On these pages you see the dutch form nieuwsbrief (newsletter) instead of the English form on the English page hidden link
And hidden link
The same for German hidden link
I keep changing them back but it changes back automatically
I use WPforms and have created the forms a time ago.
These forms are on the pages that have been translated already.
I am not using these WPforms on new pages but I want to correct all the WPforms on the current English and German pages.
How can I do this without making new pages of WPforms?
as I said, you need to make sure you are following the docs I shared with you.
In your case, you should make sure you have 1 WP Form existing and created in your website's default language and that form is being used on your default language page.
Then translate the form via WPML translation management and ATE editor.
After that make a small change to the default language page and re-translate the page via the WPML translation management and ATE editor or if you are doing that manually by editing the 2nd language page, make sure the same form shortcode is being used on all language pages.
Please check our docs and make sure you are following that method.
