This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is unable to configure product data such as SKU and price in the WooCommerce product information section because the fields are locked in second languages. Despite plugins being up to date, the client cannot find the products or categories in the WooCommerce Multilingual & Multi-Currency section.

Solution:
1. We explained that the fields being locked is expected behavior, controlled by the "WooCommerce Multilingual & Multi-Currency" addon. We recommend translating products using the WPML Translation Editor, accessible via WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual & Multi-Currency > Products.

2. We identified that the products were created before WCML was activated, which caused them not to appear on the list. We performed a bulk edit on the Spanish products, and now they are visible.

3. We advised the client that if they wish to continue translating products manually, they should create global product attributes in WooCommerce and assign those to products. These global attributes can be translated at WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual & Multi-Currency > Attributes.

4. We ensured that the correct source language is set in the permalink settings and translated the product permalink base and category base at WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual & Multi-Currency > Shop-URLs.

5. The client is now instructed to update the translations of their products at WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual & Multi-Currency > Products.

If this solution does not resolve the issue, we invite the client to open a new support ticket for further assistance at WPML support forum.

I am attempting to:

Configure my product data (SKU, price, etc.) in the WooCommerce product information section, but in both languages, the fields appear to be locked.

I saw that in other cases, the issue was due to the WPML update, but all my plugins are up to date.

I also checked the support section and saw this message:

"WPML has detected a change in your site's URL. To continue translating your site, go to your WordPress Dashboard and tell WPML if your site has been moved or copied."

When I follow the indicated link, I don't see a window as shown in the documentation regarding the "URL change."

Additionally, I have noticed that my product is registered and fully configured:

When I go to this section:

hidden link

I don't see any products or categories, neither in English nor in Spanish, as if it doesn’t detect them.

I'm not sure what else to do; I need to edit this information, and it seems I am unable to do so.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting the support forum.
Before your ticket is assigned to one of my colleagues, please allow me to walk you through some initial debugging steps. This will help speed up the support process.

There are detailed steps to troubleshoot this https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/advanced-translation-editor/using-advanced-translation-editor-when-you-move-or-use-a-copy-of-your-site/

- If you don't see the notice on the dashboard then clear any cache you have on your site.
- It is also, possible that some plugin/theme prevents the notice from being displayed. I would suggest to disable all plugins except WPML to see that.
- For the 2nd issue, please go to WPML > Troubleshooting and "Remove ghost entries" and "set language information".

Thanks

Regarding the first issue, I deactivated all the plugins and cleared the cache, but the notification still doesn't appear.

For the second problem, I tried what you suggested and the content remains blocked. I don't see any changes or signs of a solution.

Hello,

It is expected that those fields are blocked and this is controlled by our "WooCommerce Multilingual & Multi-Currency" addon.

We recommend translating products only with the WPML Translation Editor by going to WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual & Multi-Currency > Products.

About the migration banner:

You should be able to see it if you go to WPML > Translation Management or WPML > Settings.

If this does not work as expected, I can offer to have a look at your site.

I would like to offer to have a closer look at the problem and request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to the website to investigate this issue further.

You can find the required fields below the comment section when you log in to leave the next reply. The information you provide is private, which means only you and I can see and access it.

IMPORTANT
Please be sure to make a backup copy of the website and database before allowing us access.
If you can't see the wp-admin / FTP fields, your post and website credentials are set as PUBLIC. DO NOT publish the data unless you see the required wp-admin / FTP fields.

The private response form looks like this:

About:

"WPML has detected a change in your site's URL. To continue translating your site, go to your WordPress Dashboard and tell WPML if your site has been moved or copied."

You will only be able to complete this dialog if the Advanced Translation Editor is enabled on the site.

At the moment the site is using the Classic Translation Editor.

See WPML > Settings > Translation Editor.

It seems the issue was here, that the products were created before WCML was activated on your site.

I bulk edited the Spanish products and now they appear on the list.

Further, you are translating your products manually, which means that you will run into issues when it comes to the translation of custom product attributes, as those can only be translated with the WPML Translation Editor.

If you would like to continue to translate the products with the WordPress Editor, then we advise you to create global product attributes in WooCommerce, and assign those to your products instead.

Those global attributes can be translated to WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual & Multi-Currency > Attributes.

Further, I made sure that in your permalink settings the correct source language "ES" is used and translated the product permalink base and category base on WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual & Multi-Currency > Shop-URLs.

Please update now the translations of your products at WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual & Multi-Currency > Products.

If you still experience issues after that please name me a products as example.
