This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
If you're trying to see the WPML plugin in the Plugins page but can't find it after installing WPML string translation, it might be due to another plugin restricting visibility.
Solution:
We found that the 'Admin Menu Editor Pro' plugin was preventing the WPML plugins from appearing on the Plugins page. We recommend temporarily deactivating 'Admin Menu Editor Pro' to test if this resolves the issue. If you need this plugin, you might need to configure it to allow WPML plugins to show up. If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, please check related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verify the version of the permanent fix, and confirm that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If you still need assistance, we highly recommend opening a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

Background of the issue:
Trying to see the WPML plugin in the Plugins page in case I need to disable it or enable it. I've installed the WPML string translation on top of the existing plugin. It allowed me to update the plugin.

Symptoms:
The WPML string translation is still not visible on the Plugins page (hidden link).

Questions:
Why is the WPML string translation not visible on the Plugins page?
How can I make the WPML string translation visible on the Plugins page?

Hello there,

It is possible that during the install something went wrong and it didn't fully install it. Are you able to see the menu WPML -> String Translation?

Also, can you please check if it is listed as installed following the steps:

- Inside your wp-admin please go to Plugins -> Add New.
- Then click on the "Commercial" tab and click on the "Check for updates" button in the WPML section
- After that please check if the String Translation appears as installed or available for download

If it is already listed as installed, I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Privacy and Security Policy

We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see:

**IMPORTANT**

- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this: hidden link

Please, let me know if you need any additional details. Have a nice day.

Hello Paulius,

Thank you for sharing the access.

I checked it and it seems like there's a plugin meant to limit the wp-admin dashboard that was preventing the WPML plugins from showing up in the list: Admin Menu Editor Pro.

I temporarily left it deactivated for you to test it, because when I enable this plugin, the plugin itself 'Admin Menu Editor Pro' doesn't show up again and you need to rename its folder in wp-content/plugins in order to forceful disable it.

If this plugins is required, there might be a way of configuring it to let WPML plugins show up in the list, please check it.

Thank you,
Mateus
