Background of the issue:
I am trying to find out why WPML slows down the website and causes it to go down. The issue can be seen on this page: hidden link. I expected the translation to work perfectly.

Symptoms:
The website is crashing.

Questions:
Why does WPML slow down the website?
How can I prevent the website from crashing when using WPML?

Hello,

I see you don't have WooCommerce multilingual installed. Could you please install the version 5.5.1 and check if something changes?

If you can, please create a staging site and allow me access, I can try to find out where the slowness is coming from and see what to do from there.
