This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing an Internal Server Error on their website, which is resolved when the WPML String Translation plugin is disabled. The issue seems to be a compatibility problem with a plugin that comes with the Exhibz theme.
Solution:
We recommend contacting the theme authors for assistance, as we previously attempted to achieve official compatibility with the Exhibz theme but it was not finalized. The theme authors now provide support independently. You can reach out to them for support on the following link: Exhibz Theme Support.

Please note that the solution provided might be outdated or not applicable to your case. If the issue persists, we highly recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. i keep getting WPML this error on my website : Internal Server Error
i found that WPML String Translation is causing this issue when i disable it all works fine

Before this ticket gets assigned to my colleagues, I will try to help.

1. Usually, the 500 errors (Internal Server Errors - blank pages) are related to the server configuration or server limitations being reached.

3. You can also activate WordPress debug to find out more about what is actually happening when you receive that 500 error:

4. This issue might also be caused by incompatibility or not 100% compatibility between WPML and (at least) one of the active plugins or the active theme.

Can you please try to see if this issue happens even when only the WPML plugins are active and you are using a default WordPress theme?

Please try the following steps so that we can test for a compatibility-related issue:

- create a full website backup

- disable all plugins except WPML and its add-ons

- check if the issue is happening again

- if it's not, reactivate your plugins one by one, checking every time if the issue shows up again so that you can understand which plugin is causing that issue

If the issue happens even with the non-WPML plugins disabled:
- leave all the non-WPML plugins deactivated

- switch to a default theme like TwentySeventeen

- try to recreate the issue now

If you have the chance, it would be best to do this in a staging (testing) environment.

After disabling plugins i found that wpml is not compatible with a plugin that comes with the theme

is there something i can do to fix this ?

Is the theme you're using Exhibz? It appears that its plugin might be causing the error 500?

A few years back, we attempted to attain official compatibility status with the theme authors, but unfortunately, it was never finalized. It seems they are now providing support for it independently.
