This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is trying to set up two separate languages on their site, one for English UK and the other for English USA, but WPML supports only one mapping language as 'English'.

Solution:
We recommend adding different variants of English for manual translation by adding a custom language. You can do this by editing WPML's languages table. During this setup, select the "Don't map this language" option for each variant. For detailed instructions, please visit Editing WPML's Languages Table.

If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
I am trying to set up two separate languages on my site, hidden link, one for English UK and the other for English USA. However, WPML supports only one mapping language as 'English'.

Symptoms:
WPML supports only one mapping language as 'English', which is preventing me from setting up separate languages for English UK and English USA.

Questions:
How can I use separate languages for English UK and English USA with WPML?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting the support.

WPML offers only hidden link to other variants of English languages. This mapping is used for automatic translation only.

However, you can add different variants of English language for manual translation, by adding a custom language. In this case, you can select "Don't map this language" option.

Regards.
