Problem: Solution: Change the language of the string to an arbitrary language (just one you don't nor plan to have on your site): http://take.ms/rCj1P Then you will be able to translate it to every language on your site, including the default: http://take.ms/MvVks Relevant Documentation: |

Translation of EU Cookie Law
Started by: Jacek
in: English Support
Problem: The plugin text is added in the default language of WPML/your site. In that case, in Settings > EU Cookie Law you have to translate the text to the fields Bar Message, More Info Text and Accept Text in the default language of the site. If your default language is english, you add english text, if your default / main language is another language you add that text. Next you will have scanned the plugins texts with WPML > Theme and plugisn localization module. If your default language is not english, you have to uncheck the option to Assume that the original language of all strings is English before the scan. After scanning the strings, you go to String Translation, where you will find the strings of the message to translate. If you have scanned the plugin assuming all strings are english, but your site is not english, the message may not show in the frontend. In that case check that the messages you added to the plugin and ensure they are in your desired language. Now rescan the plugins strings in WPML > Theme and plugins localization and do NOT assume the strings are in english. If you now go to String Translation and search for your messages you will see that these strings are now set to your desired language and that the text domain will be "admin_texts_peadig_eucookie". If you then translate these strings to english the correct messages will appear for the corresponding languages and pages. Relevant Documentation: |
