Problem:
You are experiencing an issue with automatic translation using WPML on your site, specifically when translating the homepage from Thai to Simplified Chinese. The translation process failed three times, and the error message suggested contacting WPML support.
Solution:
1. Open the default language page in Edit mode and press the "I understand - continue editing" button from the popup.
2. Make a small change, such as adding a space or a '+' sign in the page title.
3. Save the page.
4. Remove the small change made in step 2.
5. Update the page again.
6. Try to open the translated page in the WPML Translation Editor and check if it loads correctly in the Advanced Translation Editor.

Background of the issue:
I am experiencing an issue with automatic translation using WPML on my site under development. I tried translating the homepage from Thai to Simplified Chinese, but it failed three times.

Symptoms:
WPML tried to translate this page three times and failed. The error message suggests contacting WPML support.

Questions:
Could you please help investigate and guide me how to fix this issue?

Unfortunately, the issue still persists. When I try to access or edit the original (Thai) homepage, I receive a warning saying that translation is in progress, as shown in the screenshot below:

“Translation in progress - wait before editing. Waiting for translators... (Simplified Chinese)”

This message has been stuck like this for over 17 hours and doesn’t seem to be progressing or resolving. The translation to Simplified Chinese never completes, and I cannot proceed with manual edits either.

Please kindly advise how I can clear this stuck translation job or force it to reset, as it blocks any further work on the Chinese translation of the homepage.

I’ve attached the screenshot for your reference.

Thank you for contacting WPML Support. Could you please to follow the below steps and see if this resolves the issue:

1. Open the default language page in Edit mode and press the “I understand - continue editing” button from that popup.
2. Make a small change, for example, add a space or + sign in the page title.
3. Save the page.
4. Now, please remove that small change that did in step #2.
5. Update the page again.
6. Now, please try to open the translated page in the WPML Translation Editor and see if it loads correctly in Advanced Translation Editor.
