This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client is unable to translate content as expected using WPML and is unsure of the necessary steps or settings to adjust.
Solution:
1. Check How You Are Translating:
- For posts or pages, use the WPML → Translation Dashboard. Select the content to translate and choose either manual or automatic translation.
- For custom content like events, switch from the WPML Translation Editor to the WordPress Editor for manual translation.
2. Make Sure the Content is Set as Translatable:
- Navigate to WPML → Settings and check the “Post Types Translation” section to ensure the content type you want to translate is enabled.
3. Translating Strings/Theme or Plugin Texts:
- Visit WPML → String Translation. If the string is not visible, scroll to the bottom and search again.
If these steps do not resolve your issue or if the solution seems outdated or irrelevant, we recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If further assistance is needed, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.
