This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is trying to translate their site header using WPML with Elementor, but the menu isn't showing in the translated header. They attempted to delete the translated header and start fresh but are now unable to review or edit the translated header.
Solution:
1. Ensure that the Elementor template is used for the header. Make a small change to the default language header template and update the translation, ensuring it is translated 100%.
2. Translate the menu from the WordPress 'Appearance > Menus' section. For detailed guidance, refer to the WPML documentation on translating menus: Translating Menus and Translate Menus Different Per Language.

Background of the issue:
I'm trying to translate our header on the site hidden link using WPML. It was partially working, but the menu wasn't showing. I attempted to delete the translated header and start fresh.

Symptoms:
I'm stuck unable to review or edit the translated header.

Questions:
How can I refresh or clear out the stuck translation for the header?

Now that I look further, I'm also noticing that the footer that was previously working on the Hebrew site is no longer working.

The site is built with Elementor.

Hello,

thanks for getting back.

Lets concentrate on issue at time, as for your header, I assume you have added Elementor template as header, right? Make a small change to default language header template and click to update translation, and make sure to translate it 100%.

If so, did you also translate your menu from Appearance > Menus?

Hi Drazen

Thanks for your reply. The header/footer are both displaying, so we return to the initial issue of the menu.

So in this project's case, the menus would be the same in each language.

We are using Elementor, so I looked at the section about translating menus built in site editors. What I'm seeing as a problem is that the "Header Menu" is not showing up in the "Navigation Menus" section of the "Translation Manager."

With this being the case, what would I do next to fix the problem/bug?

Thanks,
Todd

Hello Todd,

thanks for getting back.

Documentation you were checking is related to Full site editor from WordPress method, not Elementor.

In your case, I assume you are using Elementor for header template, and WordPress Menu.

In such case you need to translate Elementor template from WPML > Translation management, and WP menu from same screen where you created it, Appearance > Menus.

Please check and let me know if that helps.

Drazen
