This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client was experiencing an issue where the header disappeared after activating a plugin. The client uses the Hello theme and noticed that switching to the Astra theme brought the header back. Additionally, deactivating the Elementor Addons plugin also brought the header back, but the client needed both the theme and the plugin. Furthermore, the client had questions about translating the shop page and language switching on the home page.

Solution:
1. We suggested checking the WPML documentation for missing content after installation: https://wpml.org/faq/content-is-missing-after-install/
2. We identified that the issue might be a compatibility problem with the Elementor Addons plugin, which is not officially compatible with WPML. We recommended:
- Contacting the plugin authors for a potential quick fix.
- Suggesting the plugin authors join our 'Go Global' program to help make their product fully compatible with WPML: https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/go-global-program/
3. We advised the client to create separate tickets for each unique issue as per our support policy, to allow us to focus on each problem individually.

Please note that the solution provided might be outdated or not applicable to your case. If the issue persists, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If you need further assistance, please open a new support ticket: https://wpml.org/forums/forum/english-support/

I am trying to: instal this plugin but after activating, the header is gone.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: Site is not live and header is for all pages.

I expected to see: that it did not change my layout

Instead, I got: no header anywhere on my site.

I checked php, and it looks all good. i did find one problem but not the solution. because there are multiple solutions to make the header visable again. or i can switch theme, i currently use hello theme and when i switch to astra the header is back again. but i want to use hello theme. but i find something extra and that is the plugin elementor addons, when i deactivated this plugin the header, is also back. but i also need this plugin, so last night i checked every toggle button in elementor addon to see if i can switch a specifick option off, but unfortanatly nothing worked. conclusion, i think there is a error between WPML and elementor addons, and the hello theme. i really need them all, so do you have maybe an idea how we can find it so that i can setup my WPML.

Hi there and congratulations: that is a great find!

It seems that there are multiple existing tickets based on this exact plugin that you mentioned:
hidden link

I am not 100% sure that this can be resolved here because it seems that it is a compatibility issue and this plugin is not part of our official WPML-compatible plugins repository here: https://wpml.org/plugin

1. I'd suggest you contact the plugin authors and see if they have a quick fix for this (because, from what I can see, you also have the "pro" version so you are probably paying for this plugin)

2. I suggest that you also recommend them to join our 'Go Global' program (https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/go-global-program/) where our Compatibility developers will help them make their product 100% compatible with WPML for free

Please let me know how things go and what you will be able to find.

Hi Daan.

Sorry for the delay - it is a bit full at the moment so it can take a bit longer to respond.

I am very happy to hear that the initial issue that was reported in the ticket is now resolved. I'm curious what happened - maybe it was some caching or something that got automatically cleared and now things are ok again.

In regards to the new questions, per our Support Policy, we can handle only one issue/case per ticket.

Continuing with one issue per ticket helps not only supporters to focus on one issue at once, but also enables other users to find solutions to their questions faster.

So, can you please create a new unique ticket per each new & unique issue so we can tackle and focus on each of them properly?

Thank you so much for your understanding and cooperation!

Also, can you please mark this current ticket as resolved?

Thank you.

Mihai
